Each hand-selected plank is sanded, stained, and whitewashed to create an alluring driftwood cast that underscores the active wood grain and gives prominence to the natural saw marks and knots created during the milling process. These solid planks are mounted in a herringbone pattern to a plywood backing board to ensure a tight and secure design. The Allister Storage Platform Bed features two drawers hidden seamlessly in the footboard for convenient access. This is a true platform bed that does not require the use of a box spring.
