What is a Plush Top?
A plush top is a mattress with cushioning layers embedded directly to the surface. On the comfort level scale, a plush top, or simply plush, mattress ranks just below a pillow top in terms of softness. Plush is considered an in-between comfort level, ranking between firm and pillow top on the comfort level scale.
Side and back sleepers often prefer plush mattresses. Stomach sleepers, however, usually don't get enough support from plush mattresses. Although they feature soft cushioning, plush mattresses feature sturdy, supportive cores. Plush mattresses can be padded on one or both sides.
