The dominant design feature is the dovetail, a wood joinery technique dating back thousands of years and which we display prominently near the top of each bed post, front top rim of each case piece, and all four corners of each mirror. This collection includes: choice of bed, dresser, chest, mirror, and nightstand.

Steinhafels is a locally operated furniture and mattress retailer headquartered in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Four generations of the Steinhafel family have overseen the business since it was founded in 1934. In 2021, Steinhafels became a 100 percent employee-owned company, but members of the founding family still play an active role on the board of directors.
