Designed by Manuel Vivian and made in Italy, it uses a delicate glass cylinder shade at the end of a single-piece tube to surround inset lamping. The shade and light structure suspends easily via cable, using smooth, delicate-looking glass to constrain direct light to the sides, spilling a column of direct light below, enhanced by reflected radiance from the shade’s interior, and appearing to float when illuminated. About the Brand Started in 1996, Axolight is an Italian lighting company that designs and produces high-end contemporary lighting products. Each piece is handmade in Scorzè, Venice, Italy whether standard or a custom, bespoke piece. In 2018, Axolight launched its first sustainable product made of recycled nylon, glass fiber and aluminum.
