In 2019, a team of architects and Axolight leaders created a maieutic lab—rooted in the Socratic method—to refamiliarize themselves with the original design spirit of the fixture. The project drew inspiration from firsthand accounts, original sketches, and memories from Studio Gabetti e Isola to inform this reissue. Their efforts created this sconce that honors the original while reconstructing it for the modern day.
