You can see at a glance that this curved planter is chic. Less apparent, but just as important, is its durability. The planter is made of lightweight fiberglass—it weighs just 15 pounds—suitable for use indoors and out. It can withstand weather extremes, won't discolor from sunlight, and doesn't require a plastic liner. It includes a drainage hole in the bottom. The drain holes must be kept clear to maintain the longevity of your planter. We recommend: Filling the bottom of the planter with non-porous drainage material; Filling the remainder of the planter with a well-draining soil mix that will not retain water; and covering the soil with decorative mulch or pine bark to discourage water from pooling on the surface. Fiberglass planters can be cleaned with either water or Windex® with Ammonia-D. Do not pressure wash, use alcohol based cleaners, apply corrosive cleaners or clean with anything abrasive.
