Early 1900s Nippon Match Holder Ashtray Rare entirely hand-painted and hand-decorated early 1900s Japanese porcelain ashtray with a centered match holder. Remarkably fresh design includes medallions, stylized pineapples, posies and scrolling vines. Moriage enamel bead decorations throughout the piece and on the graceful handle. Marked in green "Hand-Painted Nippon" with the wreath mark by Morimura Bros. until 1921.
