In 2019, Axolight collaborated with architects to form a maieutic lab—based on the Socratic method—to deeply explore the lamp’s roots. Guided by original sketches, personal stories, and studio memories from Gabetti e Isola, the result is a thoughtful reissue that honors the past while thoughtfully adapting Bul-Bo’s distinctive character for today’s contemporary spaces. About the Brand Started in 1996, Axolight is an Italian lighting company that designs and produces high-end contemporary lighting products. Each piece is handmade in Scorzè, Venice, Italy whether standard or a custom, bespoke piece. In 2018, Axolight launched its first sustainable product made of recycled nylon, glass fiber and aluminum.
