Børge Mogensen created the piece for the Copenhagen Cabinetmakers Guild Furniture Exhibit in 1950, one carrying the hunting cabin theme for the year. Mogensen’s work put humans at the center and visual clarity on top. This table gets one’s attention with a bold set of legs that taper and curve gently for an expressive silhouette. Metal bars angle to the sides as contrasting accents. The tabletop invites one in with soft rounded corners and a smooth top. Wood’s natural character shows on top with streaking grain marks and shifting hues.
