Features • Natural Fibers • Responsibly Sourced Overview In her latest capsule collection, Annie's friend and collaborator Bunny Williams was inspired by the unique geometric Kuba weaving of central Africa. The sacred Kuba designs are mathematical and rhythmic in vegetable-dyed earth tones and evolved from a number of techniques featuring flat weaving and cut pile, with patchwork, embroidery, and appliqué. The Auricula dhurrie weave rug has a natural jute greek key-like motif woven onto alternating rectangles of brown and natural. Translated with hard working jute fiber, this modern and timeless rug is sophisticated and practical, especially for high traffic areas. • 79% Jute/11% Cotton/8% Polyester/2% Other • Textured and earthy with a soft feel underfoot • Crafted from eco-friendly, sustainable materials, each rug may vary slightly in color and size • We handpick the best plants and soften yarns for our jute rugs before weaving for optimal softness • Feels Textured and Earthy • Part of the Bunny Williams x Annie Selke curated collection • Ideal for high-traffic areas, this rug's natural beauty provides a perfect foundation for any room • Indoor use only • Medium pile height (0.25") • Handcrafted in India Details • Feel: Textured and Earthy • Materials: 79% Jute/11% Cotton/8% Polyester/2% Other • Origin: India • Collection: Auricula • Thickness: 0.25 inches • Technique: Flatweave • Use: Indoor Use Only • Product SKU: DA1119-258 Care Our jute, sisal, and hemp rugs are natural fiber rugs crafted by skilled artisans for exceptional quality. Follow these care instructions to maintain your rug and extend its longevity: • Vacuum Regularly: Regular vacuuming and rotation should keep your rug in shipshape condition. Always use the standard floorhead and avoid rotating brushes to prevent damage. • Rotate Often: Show your rug some love by rotating it every three months to help ensure it wears evenly. • Remove Dry Spots: To remove a dried spot on the rug, scrape carefully from the outer edges of the spot toward the middle. This ensures it is lifted without spreading. • Avoid Water & Moisture: Natural fibers like jute and sisal are susceptible to mold and mildew. Rugs should be dried as quickly as possible when wet by either hanging the rug to increase air flow, or by using a floor fan to help speed drying. If only a spot gets wet, blot with paper towels to soak up moisture. Clean the area with a damp cloth and mild detergent if needed. • Avoid Direct Sunlight: Protect your rug by avoiding direct sunlight. If your rug is in a sunny spot, rotate it frequently to ensure even color distribution and prevent fading. • Use Furniture Pads: Use furniture pads under heavy pieces. This prevents flattening and preserves the rug’s appearance. • Professional Cleaning: To help maintain the rug’s appearance and longevity, we recommend professional cleaning when needed. • Indoor Use Only: Designed for use indoors and on enclosed porches. Avoid getting the rug wet. • Safety Note: Our jute, sisal, and hemp rugs are flammable. Avoid using them near sources of ignition. • Disclaimer: Due to the handmade nature of our rugs, slight variations in color and sizing may occur, adding to their unique charm.
