Full Description: A very nice Shirvan rug with a column of three hexagons with latch-hooked diamonds with geometricized flowers. The field of this uncommon Shirvan rug also presents some similarity with the Zejwa design, a derivation of the Sunburst, Chelaberd or Eagle design of Karabagh. The crowded composition around the central medallion is unusual. The display of only three hexagons is also uncommon. The main border is a beautiful development of the traditional ‘leaf-and-calyx' border design.
