The Full Size Beds Guide
Ideal for young adults, singles or couples who don’t require much additional space, a full (or double) bed typically measures in at 54” x 75”. These compact styles are the same length as a twin bed, but are about 1.5x as wide, providing just enough room for those who like to sleep with a lot of pillows or extra blankets. Double beds take up less of a footprint and may also be more cost efficient, making them an excellent choice for guest bedrooms or primary bedrooms with smaller available area.
Standard Bed Size Comparison
Twin/Single: 38” x 75”
Extra-Long Twin: 38” x 80”
Full/Double: 54” x 75”
Queen: 60” x 80”
King: 76” x 80”
California King: 72” x 84”
