What Are the Differences between HR Foams & PU Foams?

Differences in Foam Types

The major difference between High-Resilience (HR) foam and Polyurethane (PU) foam is the weight per cubic foot mattresses made from these materials can bear. A traditional PU foam mattress supports around 1.8 pounds per cubic foot, while an HR foam mattress supports close to 2.5 pounds per cubic foot. In most cases, the denser a mattress is, the more it will cost. This is because higher-density foams are more resistant to pressure and therefore can last longer.
